As part of the paid team for the Better Schools Now! grassroots campaign, Williams Group PR led efforts to create and execute a comprehensive yet inexpensive communications plan to promote passage of the November 2019 Beaufort County school bond referendum for $345 million.

Efforts included an informative website, heavy use of social media and in-person small group meetings, email blasts to selected groups, some paid advertising as well as targeted media coverage on key issues, and prompt and direct public responses to inaccurate claims by the opposition.

The referendum, the largest in Beaufort County history, passed with an overwhelming 70 percent YES vote.
